As a friend of mine wrote...

"Of course, even as I believe there are still room for many hundreds thousands of more immigrants in Sweden, I recognize that the long-term solution to the global wealth distribution is not to move everybody around but to raise living conditions everywhere."

And I agree. The other day I got into a discussion with a 15 year old guy who agreed that the bad things happening around the world are bad although he spoke of such things as "propaganda" when coming from people on the left and therefore bad, but he couldn't be more specific why it's bad. Even though he recognized that there are problems in other countries he still was convinced that we here in Sweden should focus on the problems here and not so much on other countries, eg. China. I tried to explain to him that very problem, that Sweden is everything but isolated and unaffected by what happens and what could happen around us. Making other countries where there are a lot of problems better and safer to live in is a good way of protecting oneself. So what is good for others is also good for us.

When it comes to immigrants, the problem is not they staying here but the fact that many of them can't live in their country of origin. So the best way of "getting rid of" immigrants, if one is of that opinion that it's needed, is to make it better in the countries they come from. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out...

By the way, can you guess from which Swedish party (of the seven "acceptable" ones) this guy belongs to?
