Finally I found a pair I like and afford (or so I hope). There was an advise attached to them. I don't understand the second part of the advice. Do you?!
This is not from my boots but it is close to what I consider an almost perfect heel (for a more everyday shoe).

About the advice, it's not very complicated really. It basically means that shoes in general that have "coatings" are more easily damaged (will look worn) than shoes that do not have a coating (especially by the heels and soles). It's probably because of the more sensitive shiny material that they are made of? My 0.2 :-)
