400 000 children i SE have one or two parents who drinks too much
"400 000 barn lever i riskfamiljer
Stockholm.

Die, Die My Darling
My oldest nephew Nick sent me this link. Is my nephew cool or what? ;-) So, die, die my darling..... (Metallica)
Cleaning out my closet
But not in the Eminiem way, more literal. I've gotten in contact with a woman called Elsa Kittel who for many years has been collecting things like clothes, kitchen things, curtains and all other sors of stuff that people need in their lives, in their homes, and sending them in big trucks to the other side of Östersjön, Romania etc. to women and children who are poor or in other unfortunate situations. So, I am going through also cabinets to find whatever I have forgotten that I have, that is working but that I have no use of any more. It's a win-win situation where I get rid of stuff I don't need that only take space from my not too big flat and give it to people actually need it.
Going through your own things and find so many things you don't need, you really feel what you are, a pretty spoiled western person who has way too many unnecessary stuff. My "footprint" in the world is still a lot bigger than most people in the world even if I am trying to make it smaller by living a more personal and environmental healthier life...and trying a little to make others to do the same...eg. NOT EATING THE WRONG FISH and not eating so much beef (since it is, per kilo, worse than gas)! ...just to mention one thing. Giving away fully functional things also is a way of keeping others from buying new things (as if these specific people would be able to :-S) and doing so not contribute as much to the energy consuming consumption.

Hehe... on a plane
A stranger was seated next to a little girl on an airplane. When the plane took off and settled into its climb, the stranger turned to the little girl and said: 'I've always found that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.'
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'OK. What would you like to talk about?'
Oh, I don't know,' said the stranger. 'How about nuclear power?'
'Yes,' she said. 'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow and a deer all eat grass -- the same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'
The stranger thought for a few moments, then said: 'You know, I've never thought about that. I have no idea.'
The little girl began to open her book again, saying: 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?'

Night is my time
Some nights I just really don't feel like going to sleep even though I am supposed to up get early in the morning. The feeling I have is a kind of calm and just ignoring everything that is outside my apartment and in the near future (like job). Just being, doing things in my own pace without any bad conciousness for all the other things I need to do. I miss having this feelings and nights when studying since I didn't always have to go to school and during all those months of writing essays at home, night after night. My 50 sq. m. is my world with my thoughts. As I write they are floating far, far away, to places I've never been, doing things I only dream of, longing. Some of my thoughts end up here but some are better left in my head. Safer that way.
