Crank philosophy

Life is like Jason Statham in Crank - High Voltage.

IF YOU STAND STILL, YOU DIE!

Run Jason, RUN!

Left of Center

Serj Tankian's new single from the album Imperfect Harmonies.

Swimming in theocracy
We are far from holy
The wholeness of one
Repeat after me
We lost the key of sight
Now blind, we fear in flight
We are far from love
But silence is golden
Please observe

Fighting your empire
Defending your vampires
Far away, we're going too far
Bombing your ignorance
And feeding your insolence
Far away, we're going too far
We're going too far

If today I die
And can not deny
The life that I live for what
I say, not befit myself in time
No time to die our
No structures of a pyramid
No train, horses to rise
Surmise my position
My words define

We go forward
We go backward
Living, dying
We're dying, we're living
We're living, we're dying
We're crying, we're seeing
We're living, we're breathing
Dying, seeing

Food for my eyes

I love the fact that Blogger now offers a whole range of different background pictures to use but that also leads to a lot of indecisiveness when it comes to actually picking one. There are a lot of beautiful ones but they should also suit me. To be honest, how well would a light blue summer sky with some flowers in the foreground suit me? Or what about the cute yellow chicks, or the pale pinkish flowers in a cool pattern etc? Then there is the simple background with not much movement and/or colors versus those which are just that. As you can see, I picked a colorful one with a little more saturated colors and not to mention the fact that they are in my favorite scale, bluegreenish. Compare it to choosing a cake. Would you choose the plain, tiny, beige cake even if you know it is more healthy for you rather than the big brownie with the thick layer of chocolate glazing and cream on the side that actually makes you enjoy eating a cake?

It's past 3.30 am by now and I am finally giving up for the compelling sleep. It leaves no time for changing the text colors etc. but I'll get to that, eventually. Who knows, I might not even keep this specific background. So, what do you think about it?

This post might seem labeled in a odd way. This is not art, this is a blog but this post is about colors, design and the feelings they create.

Baptism - a new experience

I attended my first baptism this year. Without knowing the specific parents view on baptism and religion (so I am not talking about them, just Swedes in general), I dare say that there must be thousands and thousands of tradition hypocrites in Sweden. I simply can't understand that so many Swedes are so disrespectful that they stand in church and pretty much lie. Sitting there and listening to the things you are supposed to think, believe and do when baptizing your child (who have no saying what so ever about being forced into a religion they are not even aware of) knowing that Sweden among the most, if not the most, secular country in the world, made me think of...less flattering things about people.
